AIA El Paso proudly congratulates Josue Muñoz Miramón on achieving architectural licensure!
Josue’s journey began in the border region, inspired by his architect mother and contractor father. After studying at EPCC and graduating as part of the first class of Texas Tech University’s College of Architecture in El Paso, he earned his graduate degree in San Francisco before returning home to teach and serve the community.
His path to licensure was anything but easy — spanning 8 years, 15 exams, and countless hours of study. Along the way, he leaned on the support of his family, mentors, and peers, and drew strength from the Young Architect Bootcamp community during the pandemic years.
Today, Josue is proud to fulfill his teenage dream of becoming an architect. He now works with the City of El Paso’s Design Lab, exploring how architecture shapes policy and community, while continuing to mentor and inspire emerging professionals.
His advice to those pursuing licensure? “Stay passionate about the journey — do it with love for the field and with the vision of applying what you learn to create meaningful and memorable projects.”
