Chapter Members, We did it! We survived Archtober in style and made it to November. I want to take this opportunity to commend our Community Director, Sebastian Escobar, our entire board and membership for all of your contributions to what was nothing short of a fabulous Archtober. We had an amazing lineup events every week of the month with tremendous reach into the community. From the Lego Build, to the Foundation Golf Tournament, Eco El Paso, PechaKucha Night, Dia de Los Muertos, Tours, Tours and more Tours…this past month was full of Architecture Events. We had great representation from our WiA and Legacy Committees in support of producing these events as well — so many thanks to everyone who contributed. It was great to see so many of you last week at the Texas Society of Architects “Emerge” conference in Fort Worth. We continued to get glowing praise from our colleagues across the state for our efforts hosting the Annual Conference last year - many of whom continue to advocate for El Paso being kept in the regular rotation as a host city. The significant presence of El Paso members attending last week’s conference was noted by the leadership and staff of the Society. This continued support of the annual conference also goes a long way towards our staying in the rotation as host city. Thanks again to all the firms and individuals who submitted entries to our 2023-24 Design Awards. As we turn the corner towards the end of the year, we are preparing for our end of the year business. Please make plans to attend our annual business meeting for the Chapter where we prepare the way for the success of our incoming board in 2024. Please hold the date for Thursday, December 14th for this meeting. Location will be announced in December.
