AL : A  armando lopez architecture, a small, progressive, design oriented architecture firm is seeking an intermediate level architect with 5-8 years of work experience and a passion for great “design”, its execution and the craft of construction. Qualified candidates should possess the following:

  • An NAAB accredited First Professional Degree equivalent to a Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture

  • The candidate must be a licensed architect or on a direct track to licensure

  • LEED AP certification or on a direct track to certification

  • An inherent curiosity and motivation to always continue learning within the complexities of the building design and construction process

  • Strong project management skills for an efficient workflow and the ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects and design phases simultaneously

  • Broad experience in relation to the Pre-Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents and Construction Administration phases

  • Strong verbal communication skills, a sense of humor and a desire to contribute to a small, dynamic design firm

  • High proficiency with Revit and Autocad to execute and complete the work

  • Proficiency with Sketchup, Photoshop, Illustrator

  • Proficiency with 3D modeling/rendering software

  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications

Senior CADD Technician. El Paso, TX.

Job Summary: Five years or more of experience producing Architectural drawings and Consultant Coordination , work with the project designer and/or Project Architect to create a graphical representation of a new project.  Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM preferred but not required, Windows V7, Photoshop, SketchUp, Rhino and EXCEL.

Responsibilities, Knowledge and Skills:

  1. Should have extensive knowledge of architectural drawings and principles, and appreciate construction methods and manufacturing processes. 
  2. Good communication and IT skills required, as is the ability work as part of a team while also having plenty of own initiative. 
  3. Strong problem solving and a desire to come up with practical solutions required. 
  4. Should have ability to visualize designs in 3D and be able to convert verbal and written information into two dimensional drawings – accuracy and attention to detail are essential.
  5. Knowledge of Structural, Mechanical, Plumbing and Electrical systems for project coordination.
  6. Experience in Project Management such as Client meetings, Construction meeting attendance and submittal reviews.
