Architecture Week 2026

April 12–18, 2026

AIA El Paso celebrated Architecture Week 2026 with a series of events focused on education, community engagement, and inspiring the next generation of designers. Through partnerships with local institutions and volunteer efforts, the week created meaningful opportunities to introduce architecture to students and the public.

Highlights from the Week

Read-Aloud at the Library

AIA EO hosted a read-aloud session at the El Paso Main Library, where volunteers engaged with students through architecture-themed books and discussions about design, creativity, and the built environment.

Conceptual Design Workshop at La Nube

The AIA EO conceptual design workshop took place at La Nube STEAM Discovery Center, where students participated in hands-on activities that introduced design thinking, creativity, and problem-solving through interactive exercises.

Community Engagement

Throughout the week, AIA El Paso members connected with students across the community through outreach efforts that included:

  • Classroom visits with presentations, read-aloud sessions, and design workshops

  • Participation in the EPCC Science Fair

  • Collaboration with Texas Tech University at La Nube

These efforts expanded access to architecture education and provided students with a glimpse into the profession.
