ULTRAVIOLE(N)T EXPOSURES - Gallery talk and Panel Discussion

  • El Paso Museum of Art 1 Arts Festival Plaza El Paso, TX 79901 United States (map)

Please join Texas Tech University on May 15th, at 5pm at the El Paso Museum of Art for a gallery talk and panel discussion about climate change and its disproportionate impacts on vulnerable communities of South El Paso. This event is part of a research project co-lead by Ersela Kripa, Stephen Mueller, and Dr Yolanda Leyva, and will span three years.

The event will take place in our current exhibition space on the first floor of EPMA, where we are showing the research produced in the first year of the project. The panel discussion includes short presentations by historian Dr David Romo, artist Ingrid Leyva, and the organization Juárez Limpio, followed by a discussion I will moderate with them and other community members who have participated in the project.

Please RSVP via email to Ersela Kripa, Ersela.Kripa@ttu.edu whether you would like to join - this will help us determine accommodations.
