The Cardwell Collaborative will be a “tech park” in one building, bringing together researchers, students and private industry – along with a state-of-the art, highly configurable infrastructure to create biomedical innovations that advance healthcare, and create economic opportunities.
The Cardwell Collaborative will a have a modest amount of biomedical incubator space (20,000 square feet made up of wet-labs, dry-labs, lab support, Principal Investigator offices, research support open offices, and collaboration spaces) in a building that will bring private start-up companies and university personnel together under one roof to collaborate.
The other 40,000 square feet in the building will be occupied by TTUHSC El Paso, the Medical Center of the Americas Foundation, and RedSky. The LEED Silver building will contain a mix of private offices, cubicle spaces, collaboration spaces, conference rooms, a high-tech conference center, and wet- and dry- laboratory spaces.
