Procedeo – Owner's Rep Design Manager

We are seeking an energetic and detail oriented Owner's Rep Design Manager to assist the Program Manager and serve as liaison between the Owner, architect and construction teams . In this pivotal role, you will review and ensure implementation of Design processes and procedures by all teams, ensuring client satisfaction. Duties

  • Assist Senior Design manager in ensuring successful designs for educational client.

  • Work hand in hand with Program manager team to deliver projects within budget and schedule.

  • Work closely with design professionals and construction contractors to assist in understanding of the bond program and related contracts and requirements.

  • Participate in assigned contract negotiations.

  • Direct and supervise the administrative activities of the Architects and other professionals in accordance with the district’s policies and applicable local, state and federal laws and regulations.

  • Attend meetings with the Design Managers and Design Teams as needed and ensure that meeting minutes are issued and uploaded to Egnyte.

  • Liaison between the owner and design project team throughout the design process.

  • Oversee the entire Design review process for all assigned projects through every

  • phase.

  • Assist in FF&E Coordination with FF&E Coordinator as needed. This includes validation of scope, finishes, and final approval with CIP Chief and Principal.

  • Help coordinate move management of existing furniture.

  • Attend Bond/Bid/Preview event(s)

  • Attend CBAC Meetings, Board Meetings, Long Range Facilities Planning Meetings as requested. Assist Procurement Manager during Pre-Bid and Post-Bid Meetings.

  • Assist in the resolution of claims involving Construction Contractors and/or Design Professionals.

  • Review and process AE pay applications (as needed) and add services within 48-hr

  • of receipt.

  • Assist in the review and approvals of Additional Services requests and Change Orders for contracts for construction and design professionals.

  • Participate in VE discussions with project team members, where applicable

  • Assist Project Controls team in the development and submittal of quarterly and annual progress reports and other reports as needed.

  • Attend punch-list walks and observation walks as needed during construction

Skills

  • Great interpersonal and presentation skills.

  • Great organizational skills.

  • Ability to review codes for compliance with requirements.

  • Ability to review requirements with city and permitting officials.

  • Architecture degree, licensing is preferred but not a must.

  • Revit Proficiency

  • Microsoft office Proficiency including PPT, Outlook, Word and Excel

  • 3-5 year minimum experience
